Temple Dedication

Today at 11:30 am I got to go see the dedication broadcast at our Stake Center. I went with my dad, mom, and brother. For about 45 minutes we waited for it to start, it felt like a long time. My favorite talk was by President Monson. He talked about how a little girl’s mother died and left seven kids. He went to the viewing and the littlest recognized him. He got tears in his eyes and she told him not to cry because her mom taught her that her family was forever – and her mom always told the truth. I am glad I got to go! It made me feel special and that Heavenly Father loves me. I want to go to the temple someday.

I will be there at your wedding in the temple someday. Keep on planning and working towards it. It is one of the best goals a person can have.

That’s really great that you were able to go to a Temple Dedication. When they dedicated the Timpanogas Temple by us, Bridget wasn’t even born yet. I had her a few weeks later. So you’re really priveleged to be able to go.

Showing Someone You Care

Alexis again deserves a documented brag session from her mom. She has been so helpful and sensitive to me the last few days. Tonight when we came home and I felt grouchy and tired and overwhelmed with messes downstairs, she said, “You can just go to bed mom,” while working on cleaning things up. This gave me the last shreds of energy to keep going, just knowing I had someone willing to help. Also, last night she cleaned up all of the dishes and put them in the dishwasher from dinner – plus washed the things that wouldn’t fit. She even put them away and coaxed Lily into helping her – she made it fun. I overheard her tell Lily, “Now we get to do my favorite part!” (Talking about washing the pots, etc. by hand) I am so happy that Alexis has learned to SHOW she cares. Thanks Lex – it meant a lot! I love you.

Christmas with Alexis

Lex was a great big sister this year and really helped get the younger children to bed. She instigated going to bed, letting everyone know that “Santa couldn’t come until they were all asleep.” She really wanted Ice Skates for Christmas. Stephen and I surprised her, Mason, and Lily with ice skates – we really wanted to make our own rink here at the homestead but were disappointed that it didn’t pan out. We are now anxiously awaiting the rink here in Rexburg to open. She has been jamming out to her Hannah Montanna CDs and playing Dream Life. She is also trying to learn how to whistle and figure out how to make the perfect paper airplane from her “Daring Book for Girls” book. She is fun to have around our house!

Christmas!

I can’t believe that Christmas is here! The month of December has gone by so fast!I love Christmas , and the time of year. This year for Christmas I want ice skates!
Christmas is a great time of year to spend time your family ,and speaking of family my grandparents came!My results will show up on Christmas.

p.s. I don’t have Mr.Garner but I know two Garner kids
I know ,Brett and Lidia.
and I don’t like Brett!

Cheese Pie Anyone?

One our favorite but not very healthy snacks around here is what I like to call the “Cheese Pie”. Just place some cheese on a plate and nuke it for about 1 minute or until it is nice and crispy. Then pour off the grease and eat up! Alexis seems to enjoy it.

I love doing that! At least I did for an after schoolsnack when I was younger! I love putting it on a tortilla shell too! Try melting a marshmellow in the microwave for about 20 sec. then twist it onto a fork! You get your own marshmellow sucker! Yum!

Do you have Mr. Garner or do you know any Garner kids? I had a crush on a boy named Jim and one named Scott. I liked boys in 5th grade, don’t tell Riley, she’s not allowed to think about boys until she’s 25.
