I was touched and learned a lot more from the powerful parables that the Savior taught, including the commandment to love one another. It is much easier to love someone who you know loves you, but to love someone who may actually hate you or mock you is very difficult. It is even more difficult when they outwardly express they do not want you to love or care about them. Yet it is essential for us to do this in order to be worthy to enter the kingdom of God.
“Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thyneighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
