I am now a mother of five children! So far so good – I am also not living in reality yet! I haven’t left the house much for over a week, and all I am doing is baby stuff. Stephen and the rest of the crew have been great helping with everything else. It is so fun to have a baby in the house again.
JT is so sweet and heavenly! I love to smell his skin, kiss his cheeks and hold his little hand with my finger or just stare at him. His feet and toes are so miniature, what a miracle.
I took him to the doctor on Monday to get his PKU shot. When they called his name, Joshua Parker, it took me off guard. I have never thought of him as that or called him that yet – it has always been JT. I like it though, just need to adjust my thinking. By the way, he didn’t even cry when they drew his blood, just gave a little grimace. Later that day a lady from the ward was here bringing dinner right in the middle of his dinner and he would not stop crying! Thus I discovered what a little man he is – he is tough with the pain, but when he’s hungry he won’t put up with anything! As you can tell he has been a great baby so far, only crying if he has a need. Once the need is met he is back to sleeping.
Yesterday when he woke up I noticed his left eye was sealed shut with goop. I think he has a clogged tear duct like Lily did. That is not fun for him, but a minor concern. Hopefully it won’t last as long as Lily’s did – 8 months. He also has a tied tongue – like Mason. They aren’t going to clip it because it isn’t effecting his eating. (Same story as Mason) Mason thinks it is cool to have the company.
Stephen added the audio of his cute little cry and snorting – click on the file below his photos. I just love my baby boy!!!

Matt and Parker are starting to band together as the men of the house. It is fun to have a brother.
